The Battle of Waterloo was fought on Sunday 18th June 1815. Amazingly preserved you can visit the site where Napoleon Bonaparte’s army was defeated by the allied army commanded by His Grace the Duke of Wellington and saved by his Prussian friend Prince Blucher. It was a historic, vicious and pivotal defeat, which ended Napoleon’s empire and changed the course of Franco-British relations and their battle for supremacy.
