We are offering three chalets - Les Grandes Jorasses, Les Trolles and Les Barattes - in this charming hamlet, accommodating up to 18 adults with the flexibility to include some additional small children.
Chalet Les Grandes Jorasses is the largest of the seven residences that make up the hamlet, providing very flexible accommodation. It has a spacious living area over three floors and, with the benefit of two comfortable sitting areas, each with its open fireplace, ensures that everyone has plenty of space to relax. The large dining area is just right for the whole group to linger over the superbly cooked dinners and wines provided by the chalet staff. Alternatively, you can dine in style in the 17th century dining room of Les Trolles. There is also a charming Baroque honeymoon Suite.
Les Trolles and Les Barattes both sleep up to four adults. Les Trolles dates back to the 17th century, and has extraordinary antiques and paintings throughout the property. The Master bedroom has an ensuite Jacuzzi bath and shower room and the other double bedroom has an antique bed with a woodburning stove. The Living/dining room has a very cosy and attractive large feature fireplace and there is a fully equipped rustic kitchen, which can seat 5 adults. Les Barattes is a very pretty country cottage on three levels, each with its own private entrance and balcony/terrace. The Master suite has antique features, with a queen sized bed and has its own private bathroom. On the second level is the second double bedroom with an additional bed available for a small child. On the first level is a kitchen and dining room for up to 6 people.
Chamonix has superb on and off-piste skiing, together with a variety of other alpine experiences to enjoy when not on the pistes, such as sledging, sleigh rides and taboggoning. On returning to your chalet, you can don your fluffy bathrobe and slippers and pop to the refreshing Hammam steam room or simply lie back and relax in the outdoor jacuzzi. Unwind on the balcony, face the mountains and absorb the Alpine atmosphere, where you can read, day-dream or just muse on the miracles of life. The après ski is world renowned, or if you fancy a cosy night in front of your open fire, the home cinema provides ample entertainment. Alternatively, the superb separate cinema screening room with surround sound and sumptuous Italian leather armchairs is the perfect setting in which to watch your favourite films.
In Summer, clear crisp mountain air with stunning scenery invites you to hike through colourful alpine meadows full of flowers and scented pine woods. Activities, suitable for young and old, range from golf, painting, mountain biking, canyoning, paragliding, white-water rafting, nature park visits, mountaineering, tennis, riding, ballooning, climbing, and swimming at the water park.
All the chalets in the hamlet are special and unique, and make the perfect setting for a memorable family gathering or holiday with a group of friends.
