This charming hotel is laid out as a small hamlet of high mountain pasture farm cottages that are several centuries old, lying in a 2-hectare park at the heart of Megève. The nine interlinked chalets were dismantled, every piece of wood numbered, then reassembled in line with its heritage and traditions.
The charm of the decoration is only equalled by the soul of every piece of furniture and the patina of every object. The comfort of the highly individual bedrooms and suites is based on traditional simplicity and subtle refinement, but incorporates modern life as well. The warmth of the old wood is matched by that of an attentive and personal welcome. The impeccable quality and range of services on offer mark the personality of a hotel like no other.
The bar
The bar is elegant, comfortable and extremely cosy, with its deep armchairs and huge sofas covered in leather and Bonneval cloth. Warm materials and muted grey and tobacco shades all blend admirably with the atmosphere and give the place its character. Combining harmony and calm, Les Fermes de Marie offers a bar menu for those who work up a little appetite in the afternoon. It guarantees all the pleasures of a restaurant, even between meals.
The restaurants
- The traditional restaurant at the heart of the chalet offers refined local dishes for all seasons;
- The new Alpine restaurant, redesigned in a contemporary style with humorous touches offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. The restaurant is spacious and has a rotisserie, so it can offer a fresh and varied menu with plenty of cheeses and mouthwatering desserts.
The Spa
This is the very first of the Pure Altitude Spas. Its swimming pool and the 17 treatment cabins provide voluptuous aprèsski care, and special « well-being » stays can be organised at the Fermes.
The Accommodation
Standard bedroom
You will feel at home here. The warm colours, the period furniture that enthusiasts might have passionately tracked down and the all-wood surroundings all contribute to the intimate atmosphere and make you feel at home.
Prestige bedroom
The lounge areas in prestige bedrooms are all different and all equally comfortable. They are spacious and welcoming, and can accommodate up to 3 people. Their warm colors, wood and fabrics provide a delightful mountain ambiance, but modernity is discreetly present as well, with satellite television and Wifi terminals in every room.
Junior Suite
Natural wood, parquet floors and fabrics all combine to create unparalleled elegance in the even more spacious Junior Suites. All the beauty of stone and wood has gone into bathrooms with a unique atmosphere, with a design of incomparable refinement down to the last detail.
Suite or chalet
The Fermes de Marie suites and chalets are spacious and charming, with a wonderfully authentic feel. They provide you with all the comfort you could desire for a memorable stay in the mountains, including a fireplace, sauna and private terrace. There are also private chalets available that can accommodate up to five people.
Library
A real mountain ambiance also means being able to relax in total peace and quiet in a friendly and comfortable place, where you can take tea with friends. The appealing library of Les Fermes de Marie will always provide a warm and cosy welcome.
