MONTPELIER PLANTATION, NEVIS, WEST INDIES
MAP Introduction
From your table at the terrace restaurant, overlooking the lights of Charlestown and St. Kitts, experience the island atmosphere of an intoxicating blend of sunlight, sea air and fantastically abundant vegetation.

At the island’s centre stands the spectacular, cloud-fringed Nevis Peak and the hotel nestles on its slopes. Spend the days recharging - there is a perfect balance of activity and relaxation on offer - by the fresh water pool, playing a game of tennis, having a massage or simply with a good book on the Inn's private beach, looking out to the wide ocean horizon.

During the 18th century Montpelier was a working sugar plantation and witness to the marriage of Lord Nelson to Fanny Nisbet in 1787. Today the 30 acre estate is a secluded retreat from the hectic pace of distant shores. Most of the sugar fields have given way to tropical vegetation, though a small portion of land is still farmed for sugar that is used in the kitchens of Montpelier.
