An ancient mulberry tree overhangs this most attractive farmhouse in the heart of Andalucia near Ronda only an hour’s drive from the coast and situated amidst the breathtaking scenery of this region. Rarely does one find a property where so much thought has been invested so meticulously with nothing left wanting – the interior design and furnishings, the garden and pool areas and the wonderfully spacious communal areas are all finished to an extremely high standard whilst maintaining the feeling of a warm and welcoming home which guests will find hard to leave at any time.

The well-equipped kitchen in the main house of La Morera is the perfect venue for creating delicious dinners around the table of the impressive double height entrance hall/dining room with its large open fireplace and sweeping staircases on either side leading to the sitting room and master bedroom. With its wooden floors and open fire the sitting room enjoys extensive views across the valley to Ronda on one side whilst at the back there is a spacious terrace on which to relax with a drink before dinner. Opposite the sitting room the luxurious and stylish master bedroom enjoys a roll top bath within the room as well as a separate shower room and every little detail has been thought of such as soft linen, fluffy towels and the very best toiletries.

The converted outbuildings provides another kitchen, a games room with billiards, table football and table tennis as well as a home cinema - great for family groups with teenagers and fathers wishing to relive their youth!! La Morera is child friendly so excellent for families as well as adult groups. Each of the bedrooms here has also been individually styled with excellent en suite facilities and soft colours and throughout the property most bedrooms enjoy a private terrace. Opposite the main house the vine terrace is the perfect venue for breakfasts whilst another covered terrace above the beautiful infinity pool is ideal for long, relaxed lunches. Terraced gardens surround the property planted with lavender, rosemary, thyme, palm and olive trees and a variety of fruit trees and, of course, the mulberry tree! Up behind the main house is the fabulous and romantic “alberca” – a traditional water reservoir serving as a ‘plunge pool’ decorated with colourful mosaics and fed by a natural spring - a haven for lovers of an early morning dip or even an early evening sundowner.

Not only is La Morera a fabulous venue for a relaxing summer holiday it is also a superb winter retreat with full central heating, double glazed windows with shutters and open fires. Taken as a whole La Morera is ideal for a large group but it is also a charming property for a smaller group out of the main season. There is a wealth of things to do in the area be it walking, riding, visiting historical sites or simply visiting the many pretty white villages of the area and sampling the many tapas bars of Ronda. Alternatively, guests may prefer to relax by the pools and enjoy the charm and comfort of La Morera and its delightful atmosphere.
