Villa Bianca is situated up a private drive high above the town of Leuca and the Marina and is surrounded by four acres of fragrant bushes and olive groves. A most unusual and stylish design, the villa is entirely white with thick stone walls – ideal for the long, hot Puglian summers. This is very much a place for al fresco living with its stunning large infinity pool with Jacuzzi at one end and attractive and spacious areas for dining and relaxing with tasteful iron furniture and cushions and plenty of shaded areas. Indeed, it is hard to draw oneself away from this fabulous location where the days drift by and merge into the evenings. Lingering dinners can be enjoyed with the gentle breeze coming up from the sea and the subtle and tasteful lighting set amongst the trees and plants creates a magical and mesmerising scene with the chirping of the cicadas.

Inside, the rooms are spacious and airy with curved white walls and each room enjoys access through French windows to its own little garden at the back of the house. The attractive split level living room has a fireplace for the cooler months and direct access through French windows to the pool. The kitchen is large and well-equipped and there is the option of a fantastic local cook who will prepare mouth-watering “Salentine” meals. The furnishings throughout are a mixture of antiques and contemporary which combine together to create a most attractive and comfortable holiday home and each bedroom has its own shower or bathroom. The annexe behind the kitchen has its own sheltered terrace overlooking the pool.

Puglia is a fantastic and fascinating region with so much to see and do be it historical, cultural or more active. Situated above the charming town of Leuca, Villa Bianca offers guests the opportunity to experience the very best in summer living. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants, a incredible coastline on either side of the ‘heel’ which can be explored by boat or car and then there are places like Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli with their beautiful churches, castles and architecture. Further north are Ostuni and Albarobello, famous for its ‘trulli’ and lots of pretty little villages. Hiring a boat from Leuca Marina is a must and for water skiing enthusiasts, an early morning ski on the flat, deep blue Ionian or Adriatic before breakfast in a bar or on the terrace at Villa Bianca is a must! The people are warm and gentle, the food is a well-kept secret and there are some excellent wines – Villa Bianca is the place for relaxed summer living.
