Set in gently rural pasture land, reminiscent of real English countryside, this magnificent French chateau has many stories to tell from its distinguished history. The main building with the famous Mansard roofs dates from the Eighteenth Century yet the tower goes back to the Eleventh Century and one wing is definitely Fifteenth! The chateau is surrounded by twenty-three acres of its own land including woodland walks and streams giving a wonderful feeling of space, history and time.

The semi formal rose garden melts into the organic vegetable garden offering plenty of scope for fun children's hide and seek. There is a good-sized swimming pool - as one of the more recent additions - conveniently located in the old barn courtyard and therefore surrounded by a sturdy stone wall with access only by a small padlocked gate.

The spacious reception rooms have traditional high ceilings and French windows leading outside. There is a real family feel to the chateau with a whole libary of fascinating books, both old and new, a comfortable television room with a supply of films for children and a real example of a 'castle' kitchen with a massive open fireplace, a large aga, and a fine central dining table.

All the rooms are furnished in an eclectic, international style with clever use of both old and new. For a couple of families or a large group of friends, this would be an ideal location in which to relax, enjoy good food and wine in a most historical atmosphere.
