Spiti Olive presents modern, clean living in a spectacular setting on Lefkada, overlooking the Onassis island of Skorpios and beyond to Meganisi. Relax by the pool in the peace of the surrounding olive groves after a hard days swimming, boating or shopping in Nidri or Lefkas town.
The positioning, colour scheme and impressive surrounding stone walls allow this modern villa to completely blend into the mountain side, its surrounding olive groves and local island nature.
The oval pool has impressive mosaic tiling – with images of turtles – any roman villa would be proud of. Here you can enjoy your drink whilst watching the passing caiques, ferry boats and sailing boats belonging to the rich and famous, whilst listening to the cicadas. Shade from the sun under the olive trees and breathe in the peace and tranquility.
The main part of the villa consists of a sitting room, dining area and open plan designer kitchen. The French windows open onto a large terrace that leads to the spacious pool area. There are three air-conditioned double or twin bedrooms each with their own bathroom and their own un-surpassed sea views and small private balconies.
On the lower level there is a self-contained apartment with a large terrace, open plan kitchen and spacious bedroom area with separate bathroom. This could be ideal for children or perhaps a nanny. The levels are connected by impressive granite staircases.
The East coast of Lefkada, where Spiti Olive is situated, is the most picturesque side of the Ionian and is very popular with yachtsmen due to its calm waters and pretty greek islands. However, the West coast is more rugged and windswept, offering a more dramatic coastline, fantastically blue waters and amazing beaches. Some are relatively inaccessible requiring a walk from the car which instantly means less people and for the adventurous these are a must. The centre of the island is equally diverse and charmingly rustic with few tourists and some delightful local restaurants.
Vasiliki Town, on the southern tip of the island, must be one of the largest natural harbours around and is a haven for yachtsmen, windsurfers and other watersports enthusiasts, with pretty cafes and restaurants all around and boat trips offered to nearby beaches and coves. This would be an excellent place for a day trip and lunch.
