This privately owned villa provides a wonderful holiday location, situated on the private and exclusive Windermere Island in the Bahamas. The island is five miles long and is joined to Eleuthera Island by a bridge. If the absolute peace and tranquility gets too much, the island also has a touch of ‘civilisation’ provided by "The Club At Windermere" (2 minutes walk from the house) which provides a bar and restaurant open November to May, internet café, table tennis, a pool and has two tennis courts open all year round.

Hamilton House is the perfect holiday home for a family holiday or group of friends. This luxury holiday home has four bedrooms and three en suite bathrooms, and there are two private patios off the bedrooms facing toward the Atlantic sea. The house was built in the traditional Caribbean style, with large rooms and wide windows to catch the breezes. The very spacious living areas, including a 40ft sitting and dining room, have been attractively furnished in the New England style in cool, white and pastel shades. The comfortable, relaxed style of this family home makes it an ideal property for families with young children.
 
This is a place perfect for those wishing to "get away from it all" or to enjoy a relaxed family gathering. At low tide 100 metres from the shore you can see a coral reef, examples of which you see dotted around the rooms in the house. If you’ve never snorkeled, this would be the perfect place to try it!

Good sport fishing, such as bone fishing or reef fishing, can be had on the Atlantic side or on the Caribbean side at West Beach which is 5 minutes drive. You can also enjoy lobsters in season, even freshly caught ones by yourself! For the active, there are several tennis courts, snorkelling and many other adventures waiting for you.

Eleuthera Island is easily accessible and much larger than Windermere with a small population of 11,000 who are incredibly friendly and helpful to visitors to the islands. The word "Eleuthera" is actually a greek word meaning "freedom." Eleuthera island is long and narrow, approx. 100 miles long by 2 miles wide, and benefits from the Atlantic to the East and the calm shallow Caribbean to the West. You can also take day trips by water taxi to the neighbouring islands of Harbour Island and Spanish Wells.
