From high above the sparkling waters of Lake Navaisha, La Hai enjoys the most breathtaking, panoramic views overlooking the Great Rift Valley, with vistas stretching from the jagged volcanic crater of Mount Longonot to the sloping shoulders of the Aberdair Mountains. La Hai Cottage lies in the grounds of the Main House, nestling in 25 acres of beautiful gardens and unspoilt bush.

Situated only 5 minutes from the spectacular 18 Hole Great Rift Valley Championship Golf Course, La Hai is perfectly placed to enjoy the delights of playing golf on such a beautiful course and yet be within easy striking distance of some of the most famous National Parks and Game Reserves.

Cherry and Andrew, the owners who live in the Main House, are the most delightful hosts. If you wish to be totally independent you need never know they are there. However, should you wish to benefit from their wide social network, energetic sporting skills and intimate knowledge of the local area, your trip would be greatly enhanced by their warm welcome to their very special part of the world. You could enjoy dinner with them in their home or even with their friends, and they can assist with your onward trips, as far afield as the Masai Mara. They are dedicated to ensuring that your Kenya experience is the best possible.

The Main House and the two guest cottages have been restored and refurnished over the past few years, with the addition of modern conveniences to make your stay very comfortable. The two cottages are surrounded by a courtyard on three sides, where you can enjoy private space, perhaps dining al fresco on the patio with a barbeque. Meals may also be taken in the dining room, around the pool or in the dining room in the Main House. There are three double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, two of which are on the first floor and enjoy beautiful view from their balconies. There is a double bedroom in the Main House which has its own separate entrance where two additional adults may be accommodated.

One of the two kitchens is used by the staff, and the other small kitchen can be used by guests for making coffee and snacks. You have private use of the heated 11 metre swimming pool, patio area and bar. For the more active, what better way to energise yourself with an early morning game of tennis or, in the warm evening sun, prepare for the next day’s golf with some practice on your own putting and chipping green.

The family have arranged many trips and game drives in the local area, with game parks from 40-90 minutes’ drive. They have also chosen the most enjoyable excursions, such as taking a boat trip on Lake Navaisha for bird watching and seeing the hippos, nature bush trails, guided bird watching walks or a trip to Elsamere ‘Born Free’ Centre to see Joy Adamson's home. They can also arrange horse riding or trekking on camels.
