Villa Rosa Canina – named after the pretty, pale pink dogwood rose -  is located in a rural setting, amidst peaceful fields and vineyards on the outskirsts of the small village of Žikovići. The landscaped garden, planted with rosse, olive trees, lavendar, sedum,prunus laurocerasus and fotinia, is surrounded by a wall built of local white coloured stone,  which ensures your privacy and seclusion.

The accommodation is set on two levels with three bedrooms in the main house, with the addition of a guest cottage in the garden which sleeps two. On the ground floor is a spacious, open plan sitting and dining room, with exposed natural stone walls and a vaulted beamed ceiling. Relax in the comfortable sofas - cool indoors in the summer, yet warm and cosy in the winter months by the roaring log fire with the added benefit of underfloor heating. There is a double bedroom and twin bedroom on the ground floor that share a bathroom, both with access to the terrace and garden.

On the first floor is the Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, balcony and lovely views over the vineyard and beyond.

Rosa Canina has plenty of outside space, with sunny terraces for al fresco dining or just unwinding by the pool on the comfy sunloungers. There is also a covered loggia with an outdoor barbeque. The gardens are mainly lawned too, so lots of space for the children to run around.

The nearby coastal towns of Poreč and Lim Fiord – only 5 minutes drive from the villa - offer much in the way of restaurants, activities, shopping and sightseeing. Jazz and cultural festivals are in plentiful supply during the summer months and there are opportunities to visit cultural monuments. The area is famous for its fresh fish and there are many delicious fish restaurants to sample. The beach and marina in Poreč is well worth visiting. The landscape of this area is so beautiful, with many hills for walking and hiking. If you wanted to go on an extended day trip, Venice is only 100km drive away!
