Set in four acres of private grounds in a rural location between the towns of Manacor and Porto Christo, this farmhouse has been lovingly converted by its owners into an elegantly furnished country house in the classic traditional style, with comfort and relaxation in mind.

You enter the house into an entrance hall that has a light, airy feel, enhanced by its double height vaulted ceiling, and the open terracotta staircase winding up to the first floor. The terracotta tiled floors, covered by Indian rugs in places, and the thick stone walls ensure the house stays cool in summer. There is a delightful elegance to the open plan living areas which are all accessed from here and they are separated by substantial pillars and decorative archways. The sitting and dining rooms both have high, beamed ceilings and french windows that provide access onto the terraces that surround the house. The sitting room has comfortable, pretty sofas with lots of cushions, and a plentiful supply of books for guests’ use.

The accommodation is divided between the main house and the guest house which, although attached to the main house, is accessed via the garden giving an extra feeling of privacy. Both houses benefit from a gentle air-conditioning system that ensures they stay pleasantly cool.
In the main house there is a pretty king-sized master bedroom with its antique brass bedstead, vaulted beamed ceiling, en suite shower room and white stonewashed walls. The windows allow plenty of light in and are perfectly positioned to capture the sea breezes to add to your comfort. The four poster queen-sized bedroom has a spacious bathroom and is light and airy. Both these bedrooms have access to a shaded balcony from which there are uninterrupted views to the mountains in the north. In the height of summer it is a perfect haven for catching that five minutes peace and quiet with a book.
On the spacious landing is an attractive writing desk by a picturesque window – the perfect spot for contemplating the view, or resting a moment on the window seat to choose one of the books you will find there.
On the ground floor is a double bedroom that is quite spacious and simply furnished, with a shower room en suite and a private terrace with table and chairs leading onto the garden.
In the guest house, there is a double and twin bedroom, sharing a shower room, with an additional private terrace. They also share a small sitting room with a TV with kitchenette area.
There is also a simple cassita in the lower garden that would be suitable for a nanny if the cook service is not used. It has two single beds, a shower room and a basic kitchen.
Outside, there is a spacious loggia seating at least 12 for al fresco dining, perhaps taking advantage of the outdoor barbeque built of traditional local stone. You can enjoy views of the sea and surrounding countryside from the pretty, well maintained and lawned garden with its local shrubs, pine trees and pretty flowers. There is also a new Boules area. Or simply relax in the sun on the large stone terrace that surrounds the delightful freeform pool.
