has been lovingly created by its owners into an immaculate, exquisitely furnished family home.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Spectacular views of mountains and olive groves
- Elegantly furnished
- Private 16 acre estate
- Newly built hard Tennis court
- Spacious, open plan living area
- Large private pool and terraces
- Not suitable for children under 10 years old
This is a beautiful family home, with every attention paid to the detail of its comfort and exquisitely furnished with antique furniture and pieces by the owner who is a keen artist. The newly built house is set in a private 16 acre estate, on the side of a beautiful valley and tucked away in the hills just outside the village of Periana above the historic market town of Velez Malaga. The area is a thriving fruit and olive growing region producing prize-winning olive oil at the local cooperative.
The spacious and elegant double height reception hall is flooded with light from all directions and has French windows leading on to the gardens and the large pool. As you enter, there is a dining area to the left that easily seats eight people, and to the right is a large wood burning fireplace with generous sofas and chairs, where you can enjoy a cosy evening in front of the roaring fire with subtle low lighting from the table lamps.

Next to this is the sleek designer breakfast kitchen, with its powder blue finish that complements the charming blue window shutters in every room. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with everything ergonomically arranged for maximum convenience, with a laundry and service area. Breakfast can be taken al fresco on the patio.
There is a comfortable library, with an eclectic array of books, television, DVD player and a study area. In either wing of the main house are the bedrooms, benefiting from spectacular views across acres of beautiful landscape and French windows onto the shaded garden terrace. The pretty Master bedroom is spacious with generous cupboards and there is also a double and a twin bedroom. Each bedroom benefits from a bathroom or shower room en suite, and you will be delighted by the thoughtful touches that make this a true home from home. The house has an air cooling system to keep it cool in the height of summer, combined with under floor heating to warm the terracotta floors in winter.

The gardens have been lovingly created with the help of landscape designers and a team of dedicated gardeners, and the house is set in the midst of 16 acres of olives, almonds, oranges, figs, pears, pomegranates and vines. At the heart of the grounds sits the sheltered courtyard with a rill leading to the swimming pool - a design inspired by the Alhambra, with its Moorish influence in Andalucia and the more recent design of the wonderful Museo Picasso in Malaga. This spot is perfect for enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the distant villages dotted across a landscape filled with olive groves.
The house benefits from a recently built hard tennis court, and also has table tennis if you are feeling in need of activity.
The nearby village of Periana is only five minutes drive away, and has local restaurants and bars with a real Spanish flavour, yet offering a warm welcome to visitors. The food is good, and the substantial meals they offer are excellent value, with a good range of choices. Delicious spring water can be collected freely at the village fountain, where it spouts cheerfully into a stone basin all day long. Periana lies in a glorious, unspoilt mountain landscape with marvellous walks all around and plentiful wildlife to be seen. In the local area, there are many archaeological sites and fascinating white hilltop villages just waiting to be explored.
Due to its lovely interiors and antique furniture, it is not suitable for children under ten years old.
