A charming 17th century stone and brick farmhouse, or 'casa colonica', La Casina is surrounded by lovely gardens, olive groves and vineyards, in an extremely quiet and private position. The exquisite views from terraces, porches and windows on all sides, offer guests a beautiful and peaceful setting just ten minutes from the delightful walled mediaeval town of Lucignano in Tuscany, one of the most attractive small towns of the Aretine hills and within easy reach of Tuscany's finest treasures in Arezzo, Siena and Florence.

Discreetly hidden away and entirely private is a spectacularly beautiful swimming pool, with panoramic views of rolling Tuscan hills stretching as far as the Casentino. Guests may well be happy to spend many hours here, surrounded by gardens, with shade from an elegant pergola and facilities in the pool room nearby. For the more active there are some enchanting walks from the property and one can even cool off in the lake set amidst the gardens!

The house has belonged to its present owners since the early 1970's and is furnished in a comfortable traditional style reminiscent of the diplomatic life of its owner. In enchantingly simple but good taste, the house has been a family home for many years and is ideal for one or two families, with sleeping, eating areas and kitchens on two separate floors, each with their own terraces - and screens on virtually all the windows add to the comfort of the guests.
