Situated near the charming seaside village of Ansedonia, the villa is surrounded by an acre of grounds, in a beautifully landscaped garden with the focal point being the splendid pool area where one can take advantage of the fabulous views including the fishing village of Porto Ercole.
The stunning pool area is the jewel in the crown of L’Acacia. The large, individually designed swimming pool – shaped like a flower – sits perfectly within a terracotta herringbone-tiled terrace with plenty of umbrellas and sun beds. Surrounded by pretty mature trees and flowers, the natural stone features and Mediterranean planting on the landscaped terrace make a perfect backdrop to the sparkling Tyrrhenian sea.
A key feature is the spacious loggia, just right for taking in those views whilst enjoying an evening aperitif or breakfast al fresco. The garden to the rear of the villa has been designed to include several shady, quiet spots to relax with a good book whilst enjoying the scents of bougainvillea and frangipani. There is also a large, shady pergola to the side of the property, perfect for evening dining al fresco where a barbeque has been built into the natural stone wall.
The villa has been furnished throughout in typical Italian style with polished, tiled floors and murano glass lamps, and effectively mixes the old with the new. Crisp white walls and soft furnishings contrast with the rich hues of the original exposed beams and stone walls, with accents of vibrant colours reflected in the artwork and furnishings.
The emphasis is on outdoor living, with two spacious areas perfect for dining al fresco. From the large verandah, you enter the villa through impressive French windows that open onto the large Sitting room. Divided into three parts, there is a comfortable sitting area to the right and a further TV, plus a games room. The dining room is next to a second entrance hall and the kitchen with access to the rear garden. Alongside the kitchen there is a handy laundry room and the caretaker's rooms.
The main bedrooms are accessed via a doorway from the sitting room. The master bedroom has a TV and an ensuite bathroom with a Jacuzzi. There is also a twin and a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, plus another double bedroom with private shower room. A twin bedroom with ensuite shower room is on the upper floor with access to a wide terrace and fabulous views. It can be reached via either an internal or external stairway.
