An elegant early nineteenth century home with mature gardens, easy proximity to Florence and charming staff, Fattoria di Mugello is a very special destination for a family reunion or gathering of friends.

Fattoria di Mugello has always remained within the same family estate, so we feel very privileged to include it within our portfolio. With its various outbuildings, beautiful chapel within the main house and its extensive gardens, the Fattoria was originally a major olive oil producing farm, encompassing all the surrounding land and employing all the local villagers.
Inside, spacious living rooms are tastefully and traditionally furnished and the tv room even has a frescoed ceiling. The owners have a history and love of game hunting in Africa so guests should be prepared for the array of antelope and others, looking down at them with curiosity from the walls!
Large French doors lead from one of the living rooms onto the terrace outside where there is plenty of space for al fresco dining after a dip in the pool. Beyond, are the wonderfully mature and peaceful gardens with grand old trees and ample space in which children can play. Alternatively, one can enjoy candlelit suppers of freshly made pizzas from the bread oven across the courtyard from the house.
Guests will love the treat of Fiesole and Florence being only thirty minutes drive away whilst staying in the totally unspoilt and lushly fertile Mugello region on the Tuscan side of the Appenine ridge, away from the tourists and en route to the fabulous gastronomic centre of Bologna. The resident couple managing the property are charming and nothing is too much effort to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of staying at the Fattoria.
