Overlooking the Indian Ocean, Alfajiri Cliff Villa is considered by many as one of the finest houses on the Kenyan coast. With total privacy and stunning views the property is Caribbean in style, adorned with impressive artefacts from the Far East and Africa. Large glass windows, ivory Danish floors, wooden beams and Lamu doors create a bright and airy feel and the vast veranda with huge hand-carved sofas dominates the front of the house. From here one can gaze across the Indian Ocean or dip into the horizon pool on the edge of the cliff.
The gardens are meticulously maintained and the delightful staff of eighteen are highly professional, friendly and discreet. Alfajiri is hosted by its charming Italian owners who help to create a fun and relaxed environment and ensure that guests are looked after to the highest of standards.
All bedrooms have bathrooms en suite and the stylish decor throughout the villa derives much of its character from being hand-crafted on the property. The cuisine is delicious -daily fresh fish and seafood, Italian olive oils, Parma ham and cheeses flown in from Europe - fruit and vegetables picked fresh from the local farms.
For the more active guest, there is plenty to keep one busy – an 18-hole championship golf course, deep sea fishing, scuba and snorkelling, tennis and squash - or take a safari into Tsavo East National Park. Families with young children will benefit from the services of two delightful ayahs, allowing the parents to relax completely.
