Casello certainly lives up to its name of being a ‘beautiful’ farmhouse. Completely private and only fifteen minutes from Siena, Casello has been lovingly restored to the highest of standards. Typical Tuscan terracottas and ochres and wooden beams have been incorporated in tandem with gentle Moroccan influences – the end result being a truly magical and elegant child friendly home.

The spacious and fully equipped kitchen is the perfect venue for those guests wishing to take the opportunity to practice their Italian cooking and adjacent to here is a covered dining area with large stone table. The downstairs living room with vaulted tiled ceiling leads onto the garden whilst upstairs there is a further large living room on two levels with fireplace, big sofas, satellite television and music system. From here there is direct access to the amazing loggia area with steps down to the garden. Beautifully appointed bedrooms with antique Italian furniture and dreamy bathrooms of travertine marble create a sense of well-being and luxury whilst within the walls of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse.

The fabulous pool area is a great venue for al fresco dining surrounded by olive and cypress trees and for guests who wish to completely unwind and relax, there are many services available such as cooking, shopping and a driver. If one can manage to draw oneself away from this charming location then there is a wealth of places to visit nearby – Siena, the many towns and villages of the Chianti area, Florence and much more – one is spoilt for choice. Casello cannot be too highly recommended.
