The Battle of La Lys also know as the the Fourth Battle of Ypres started on dawn of 9th April 1918. The Germans called it Operation Georgette with the aim to break the line, push back the allies to the coast and capture Ypres. The German assault struck the Portuguese Second Division, which held a front of about 7 miles of the front. This tour will provide an excellent opportunity to remember the fallen and learn exactly what occurred.
