OVERVIEW

This tour will show you the life of St Benedict – where he lived as a hermit for 3 years, where he founded his first monastic community and where he ended his days. The tour will also be visiting the wondrous and beautiful eternal city itself, Rome. Here you will have the chance to visit the Vatican, St Peter’s Square and to have a Papal audience.

St Benedict at Subiaco & Rome, Italy

Just an hour outside of Rome at Subiaco, the spectacular monastery of St Benedict is built into the mountain cliff and has far reaching views. Although it is still working they welcome visitors from all over the world. Close by there is also the Abbey of Monte Cassino, where St Benedict lived the remainder of his life, and from here the tour will head back to Rome.
