Clifton Diocese Pilgrimage to Rome
With Bishop Bosco and Canon Christopher Whitehead
Saturday 27th September - Thursday 2nd October 2025
Stay at Palazzola, the beautiful retreat house owned by the Venerable English College, which is set in the hills south of Rome above the volcanic Lake Albano not far from Castel Gandolfo.
You will have the opportunity to enter through one of the Holy Doors and to visit some of the basilicas of Rome during the Jubilee Year. Explore the multiple treasures of Rome's Christian history by walking tours with Canon Christopher.
One day there will be a day trip Greccio where St Francis inaugurated the idea of a live crib scene so that local people could envisage the Bethlehem scene of the Incarnation.
A level of fitness is required as there will be lots of walking, and the ground can be uneven as the streets of Rome are cobbled
