Be taken to the site of the Allied landings on these famous beaches, which stretch for 50 miles along the Normandy coast. During the night of 6th June 1944 Operation Overlord saw the arrival of 135,000 men and 20,000 vehicles on the D-Day landing beaches code named Sword, Juno, Gold, Omaha and Utah. Follow their battles into France pass the Airborne Battles to the planned Breakout.
Battlefield Tour
Launched from the south coast of England the Allied forces arrived on the beaches of Normandy. They were sites of intense fighting – at Omaha alone the US lost nearly 3000 soldiers.
