Pilgrimage to Corinth with St Paul
Corinth, Greece
There has been no important trailblazer in the history of our faith than St. Paul and this pilgrimage, infused with Mediterranean warmth and scenery, spends a week exploring his legacy and footsteps. Southern Greece is the backdrop to a journey through the ancient towns of Corinth - the setting of the writing of the letters to the Thessalonians and the second largest city in the Peloponnese, Isthmia, home of the iconic Panhellenic games of the ancient Greeks and the intriguing seafront ruins of Kenchreai. Sun-dappled days will be spent exploring sights before traditional Greek suppers with local wines under vine-covered terraces. Corinth is living Biblical history and we will delve into the Scriptures to walk alongside St Paul as he brought the Gospel to the known world. Sights include the Bema where St Paul was tried by the Roman consul, the scenic Gulf of Corinth and the Acropolis of ancient Corinth sitting high on the monolithic rock of Acrocorinth. A true feast for anyone interested in Biblical history and the civilisations of time past.
