Your JC Journey

Our pilgrimage begins with three nights at St Catherine’s Monastery guesthouse, at the foot of Mount Sinai, visiting and supporting its Greek Orthodox monks. Founded by Emperor Justinian in the sixth century, the monastery stands at the traditional site of Moses’ encounter with God in the Burning Bush.

Among its treasures is the sixth-century Christ Pantocrator, one of the oldest surviving icons of Christ. Its collection also includes ancient mosaics and Christian manuscripts, with leaves and fragments of the Codex Sinaiticus. Our stay offers time to explore, pray and enjoy the quiet of the desert.

We then continue to Cairo to visit churches associated with the Holy Family, the monasteries of Wadi Natrun, the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Mass, prayer and time together run throughout the journey, helping us connect the places we visit with our own faith.
