This is a uniquely exclusive pilgrimage to visit and support the Greek Orthodox monks of St Catherine’s Monastery in the Sinai Peninsular; the oldest continuously inhabited Christian monastery in the world.
Commissioned in the 6th Century by Emperor Justinian to mark the site of Moses encounter with the Burning Bush it was later renamed after the relics of St Catherine of Alexandria were found nearby.
It holds one of the world’s most treasured collections of Christian manuscripts, second only to the Vatican, including the Codex Sinaiticus as well as many early 5th and 6th Century mosaics and icons .
